Autumn War

2003

September 18-22, Barony of Blatha An Oir

This year's Autumn War was held at a different site than usual.  It had it's pros and cons.  It was bigger, but pretty hilly, so there was a lot of hiking up and down to get to different areas of the event.  The nice thing was that there was an entire lower field for "quiet camping", and it was pretty sparsely populated, so we actually had some space, which is unusual.

The war went on forever, it seemed.  The weather was great, a little hot, but no rain.  There was a "boat scenario" that was very entertaining, as the pvc-pipe "boats" kept falling apart.  Click here for a video.  Of course, there was the castle, and lots of action.  Here are some other videos:

Close Up of Castle Battle

And here are some pics taken during the event.  Most of them will have Olcan somewhere in them.
There's a few of Clan Carn - Muireann really thinks they are cool.
